a few weeks ago, on the same trains, both off at 86th, smiling at eachother...
Ok, so I JUST found out about this part of craigslist else I would have posted this after it happened (which was June 11th I think, either way it was a Wednesday...).
We were on one of the NWRQ trains (I think coming from Union Square) and I saw you were reading the paper and you we kept looking up and smiling at eachother. We both got off at a station to catch the express 2 or 3 train. Got on one and were on the same car and kept looking up from what we were doing at the same time to look and smile at one another. We then both got off at the 72nd stop to catch the 1 train. It was a very long, very hot wait. There was a homeless man shaking his change cup & I felt like a jerk for scarfing down my scone in front of him so I gave him some change, you smiled. I got out a book and we continued to look up from our readings and smile at eachother (at the same time)as we wandered around waiting for the train. We both got on the 1, we were of course near eachother again. I forgot it stopped at 79th first so when it stopped I whipped my head around to look and saw you look to see if I was getting off. We both look relieved when I didn't. Then at 86th, we were both looking at eachother happily surprised that we were getting off at the same stop- you went up the stairs ahead of me, we saw that we were walking opposite ways home and parted. Then all the way accross the street, we both whipped around at the same time to see if the other person was looking, and of course we were.
I was wearing a light blue t-shirt that day and some capris with my hair in braids from what i can remember.
Hopefully we'll run into eachother again someday (and actually introduce ourselves)-although I live in Philly and was only in nyc for june so I don't know when...but yeah, I looked for you pretty much everyday on the subway since that occurence. Hope you see this.
